+140m Lürssen superyacht Ali Baba launched and seen for the first time
The approximately +140-metre Lürssen superyacht Ali Baba has been prematurely launched at the Lürssen Bremen Lemwerder facility in Germany.
The impressive superyacht was last seen in May 2022 when she was moved out of the construction shed, in preparation for her assembly. Details surrounding Ali Baba have been kept tightly under wraps since construction begun in 2019.
The first images of Ali Baba show Lürssen's signature elongated bow with angular contours and bold exterior elements to provide a powerful character to the vessel. She boasts four expansive decks, blending sophistication with an aggressive military edge
Ali Baba recently made headlines when a technical failure of the dock gate forced water out of the dock thereby pushing the nose of the yacht into the dock curtain.
Ali Baba will now be transferred to the Lürssen facilities in Hamburg to be completed, while the dock in Bremen-Aumund is inspected and repaired.
According to SYT iQ, Lürssen Yachts currently has several projects in-build including, the +130-metre superyacht Deep Blue, the 82-metre superyacht Cali and the 114-metre fuel cell superyacht Cosmos.
