52m Palmer Johnson yacht DB9 sold

Palmer Johnson's 52.3-metre motor yacht DB9 has been sold with Yves Di Lena of YDL Yachting Corp introducing the buyer and Kevin Ralph and Michael Mahan of Worth Avenue Yachts representing the seller.

Delivered in 2010, the DB9 was built as the shipyard's first Palmer Johnson 170 project. Having undergone regular refits, she can accommodate up to 12 guests across five staterooms. Characterised by her vast curves and sleek lines, the motor yacht features both exterior and interior design from the imagination of Nuvolari Lenard, whilst her naval architecture was penned by Palmer Johnson Yachts.

Previously named Aura, the 495 GT motor yacht is the fourth largest yacht built by Palmer Johnson. Home to a spacious saloon, the interior of DB9 blends natural wooden craftsmanship with luxurious cream furnishings. The glamorous saloon is lined with tall windows, allowing natural light to flood the expansive room.

The all-aluminium vessel boasts elegant staterooms, defined by her full-beam master suite on the lower deck, accessed via a private staircase. No stranger to the need for entertainment onboard, DB9 has an abundance of space for guests to take advantage of and indulge in the stunning views. Her foredeck showcases an eight-metre swimming pool for guests to enjoy, while an infinity-edge Jacuzzi pool is positioned to her stern. The singular yacht in the 170 SportYacht series features an open sun deck, DB9 even boasts an open-air cinema, leaving guests spoilt for choice when it comes to entertainment.

Regarding performance, DB9 is powered by twin MTU engines, providing her a top speed of up to 32 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots. At the time of her sale, DB9 had a last known asking price of €19,995,000.
