The 72-metre in-build Admiral superyacht Admiral 72 re-sold in a deal with Darrell Hall of YachtZoo representing the buyer and Michel Chryssicopoulos of IYC representing the seller.

Currently in-build at the Admiral facility in Marina di Carrara, Italy, the Admiral 72 yacht was first announced in 2020 as Project Metamorphosis, and is the first of two superyachts designed entirely by Giorgio Armani.

The ice-class yacht features a full displacement steel hull, with exterior design by Armani/Casa and Admiral, interior design by Armani/Casa and naval architecture by her builder Admiral. She blends the DNA of Admiral and Giorgio Armani to create a one-of-a-kind, avant-garde superyacht with recognisable exterior lines.The Admiral 72 yacht is described by her builder as having "large, sharp, geometric volumes that are perfectly balanced with curvier, softer shapes, for an ensemble that is majestic yet dynamic."

She features an extensive use of glass to create a seamless transition between her interior and exterior spaces and can be adjusted, thanks to a clever positioning of sliding panels. The Admiral 72 yacht combines aspects of the nautical and fashion worlds by amplifying Giorgio Armani's aesthetic philosophy.

 Her décor is bold, yet relaxed, with a theme of timeless minimalism. She uses refined materials, fine hand-crafted finishes, and a masterful mix of soft or vibrant colours to achieve a minimalist luxury design.The 1,950 GT superyacht Admiral 72 is able to accommodate up to 14 guests across seven staterooms, as well as space for a crew of 20. Amenities onboard feature a large beach club, a pool towards the aft of the main deck, a private spa and a helipad.

In terms of performance, the Admiral 72 yacht has a transatlantic range of over 5,500 nautical miles. At the time of her sale, she had a last known asking price of €105,000,000. The much-awaited project, originally set to be presented at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2024, is now set to be delivered in April 2025 as her new owner is planning additional upgrades.

The second Admiral 72 superyacht is scheduled for delivery in Q2 2025, with the yacht set to make its grand debut at the Monaco Yacht Show later that year.
