The 80.07-metre Heesen superyacht Genesis has been sold and delivered to her new owners. Representatives of Heesen have issued the following statement; "The full custom 80m superyacht, built in Oss (the Netherlands), was delivered to her new owners on August 31 2023, leaving the Dutch waters. The sale and delivery of the yacht have been coordinated with the Dutch authorities. Everyone at Heesen is delighted to see the shipyard's flagship sailing away and wishes her owners and their crew fair winds and following seas."

The 1,711 GT was sold motor yacht is the largest yacht to have been built by Heesen to date. Previously named Galactica, chief engineer Jan Kamstra and the build captain were closely involved in drawing up the technical specification for Genesis. "The key is to optimise the specifications before you start building," commented Kamstra. "In this case we could apply everything we've learned on previous projects from the get go instead of making changes during production, which is never ideal."
