Onboard the 107m Oceanco sailing yacht Black Pearl for charter
With interior images unveiled publicly for the first time, SuperYacht Times takes a closer look at the 106.7-metre Oceanco tri-mast sailing yacht Black Pearl, which is available for charter with Superyacht Connections.
Launched in Rotterdam in 2018 by Oceanco, the super sailing yacht Black Pearl features naval architecture by Lateral Naval Architects along with exterior design by Ken Freivokh Design and Nuvolari Lenard. Furthermore, the sailing yacht's interiors were penned by Nuvolari Lenard, with contribution from Villate Design.
Equipped with the world's largest dynarig, set over three 70.6-metre carbon masts, Black Pearl exhibits crisp, modern exterior lines, which encase interiors that pay homage to the great Palais of the 18th century French monarch Louis XVI.
"Black Pearl's interiors are the result of a long journey into the language of one of most glorious decorative styles history can mark, from the French 'Ecole Boulle' of Paris, to the more recent art deco, all meticulously brought together into a masterpiece that has no competitor on water," Valentina Zannier, Head of Interiors at Nuvolari Lenard, told SuperYacht Times.
In order to convey this neoclassical spirit, the Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard has embellished the super sailing yacht's indoor living spaces with burl mahogany, glasswork, silks and satins, as well as intricate gold detailings. At an interior volume of 2,864 GT and three decks, Black Pearl is capable of accommodating as many as 14 guests across a versatile five stateroom configuration.
Black Pearl's full-beam master suite includes a lounge, a private balcony, and ensuite bathroom, finished with honey onyx, veined-marble work, engraved glass screens and golden fittings.
