One of the priciest apartments for sale in Israel just got a little bit more affordable. The sprawling penthouse that sits atop Tel Aviv's Jaffa hotel, and gets to enjoy all of its five-star amenities, is now on the market for US$59 million.

Located in Jaffa, the oldest part of Tel Aviv, the home blends old-world charm with contemporary urban living. It was previously being shopped around for US$65 million.

The more than 16,000-square-foot spread, designed by Israeli architect Pitsou Kedem, "draws inspiration from the surrounding coastal environment, combining elements of modern architecture with a touch of Mediterranean charm," said Isidora Fridman, founding partner of Israel Sotheby's International Realty.

"The architect and designer aimed to create a harmonious blend of contemporary aesthetics and a warm, inviting atmosphere," Fridman added.
